Programming Through the Open

It is CrossFit Open week! It is a great time to test our fitness and get our community together. With the Open finally here, it comes with a few programming adjustments over the next three weeks. 

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be programmed as usual and continue to hit our GPP (General Physical Preparedness) and lift progressions. 
  • Thursday will be a dedicated active recovery day. This workout will be intended to tackle at 70-80% effort and 30+ minutes. We aim to get the body moving without creating too much interference for what could come on Friday. 
  • Friday will be the Open day! We will run on our Open schedule listed below and have Friday Night Lights running at 4:30 PM. 
  • Saturday/Sunday will be programmed Thursday evening after we know what movements/modalities will be programmed on Friday.
  • CrossFit Open Friday Schedule: 
  • 5 AM – Two Heats
  • 6 AM – Two Heats
  • 7:30 AM – CrossFit Class
  • 9:00 AM – Two Heats
  • 12:00 PM – CrossFit Class
  • 3:00 PM – CrossFit Class
  • 4:30 PM – Friday Night Lights

Two Heats

  • These classes will be designed for those who can not attend Friday Night Lights. Whether you are or are not signed up for the Open, you will complete the Open workout and judge a partner doing the Open workout. Coaches will run athletes through a warm-up, prep, and strategy.

CrossFit Class

  • These will be like our traditional class, with coaches leading you through a warm-up, prep and progressions, and appropriate modifications. Judges will not be available at these classes. 

Friday Night Lights

  • A party and celebration that brings the community together with a heat-style layout. There will be a signup sheet on the front desk Friday morning. A warm-up and strategy will be written on the board, and athletes will do the workout and judge until the last person goes. Open to all friends.

Friday, March 1st: Friday Night Lights 24.1

Saturday, March 2nd: FREE Shoulder Stability and Mobility Seminar hosted by Summit Physio

Friday, March 8th: Friday Night Lights 24.2 with Uno Mas Pop-Up

Friday, March 15th, 2024: Friday Night Lights 24.3 with End of Open Celebration and Potluck!
